I have the experience and track record you are looking for.I started my real estate career in 1974,and in August, 2009, I obtained my Broker's license and opened my own office at 812 N. Market, Grapeland. I am a product of Champion Real Estate School in Houston. I have the following designations: GRI (graduate of Real Estate Institute) and ABR, (accredited buyer representative). I am a member of the Houston Area Realtors, where all my listings are posted the website, www.har.com. I am also a member of the Texas Association of Realtors as well as National Association of Realtors. I am a 7th generation Houston Countian. My family settled here in 1830 (before it was Houston County). I am privileged to own property that has been in my family for over 170 years. I graduated from Grapeland High School in 1968 and attended Sam Houston State University. I am married to Troy Pennington, a local farmer and rancher. We had three sons, and two of them, Aaron and Ross, both of whom work with us in our family agriculture businesses, Wade Pennington and Sons Farms and Ranch and RP Feed Store. Our youngest son, Russell, was killed in 2004 at the age of 17, by a lightning strike, while practicing football on the GHS campus. We have a daughter-in-law, Kim, a granddaughter, Taylor and grandsons, Case and Colt. We are members of the First United Methodist Church, Grapeland, where I serve as chairman of the Trustees and organist. I am a member of the Crockett Garden Club, and the Major Jarrell Beasley Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. My roots run deep in Houston County, and I would love the opportunity to show you why I love it, and East Texas so much. Let me help you have a part of this area.- LaWanda Pennington
